Hastings Ride

For this week’s ride, the format of the day will be a little different. Firstly we will be meeting at Cycle Route Warks in Wellesbourne, where Rob Gullen is very kindly putting on mince pies and drinks, so turn up early to enjoy. We will look to leave the kind hospitality around the normal time of 10:30.

The ride itself is a non too taxing little 40 miler with 1500ft of climbing, taking in a loop around Wellesbourne. Heading out towards Oxhill, then Kineton and out to Bishops Itchington. From there we will head to Harbury, Ashorne and Barford, ending up at the Boars Head in Hampton Lucy for lunch around 1:30 to 2pm, where the ride will officially end. Lunch at the Boars Head will be soup, a selection of sandwiches, and a large bowl of chips to share (especially requested for the Chairman) at £7.50/head.

A slightly different format to normal, but hopefully an enjoyable ride with pre and post ride sustenance and a chance to socialise and catch up on the gossip from the annual dinner.
