Hastings Ride - 11b (modified)

Today’s ride will be around 42 miles, with a lunch stop at Tiffany’s Tea Rooms in Moreton in Marsh.

There will be a route modification in that when we reach Broad Campden we will turn off right in the village, taking the road with the short, sharp (very!) climb at the start, which takes us into Blockley. From there we will climb Blockley Hill to the A44 and then descend into Moreton via Bourton on the Hill for lunch before picking up the 11b route for our return to Wellesbourne.

Outside of the Blockley ascent, the other major climb today will be Foxcote and both of these hills will feature before lunch.

Group ride two abreast discipline will be strictly adhered to as per usual with my rides and, depending on the size of the group, we may use a new ride tactic recently adopted by ShipstonCC aimed at avoiding the usual annoyingly slow and disfunctional scenario when negotiating t-junctions - Alex Jones will be helping me in this respect.
