The Dene Group Battlefield Trail

On this ride we’ll be visiting the sites of the battle of Edgecote (1469), Cropredy Bridge (1644)  and Edgehill (1642), or at least as close as we can get on a bike. A history lesson and a scenic bike ride rolled into one. 

Route: Wellesbourne, Moreton Morrell, Lighthorne, Gaydon, Fenny Compton, Claydon, Chipping Warden, Edgecote, Upper Wardington (coffee in the garden centre), Cropredy, Great Bourton, Hanwell, Horley, Edgehill, Kineton, Wellesbourne.

43 miles, 2300 feet ascent.
