Sunday Casual

Sunday Casual usually meets at 9.30 am outside The Stag in Wellesbourne.

This ride is open to all club members, or indeed any new riders who want to try

club cycling as a guest rider.

Distance is typically 25 to 30 miles at an average speed of 11-14 mph which for most

people is a very relaxed…...you might even say even a Casual pace !

Our objective is to provide an enjoyable ride to meet the needs of as many of those

riding. So speeds will be faster or slower, This is mainly determined by who is riding

that particular day eg current club members or new guest riders

However we will never leave anyone behind, and will regroup if a gap opens up

eg at the top of a hill as it is the responsibility of the Ride Leader to ensure everyone

returns home safely.

Ride leader today is Gordon Wood and route will be around South Warwickshire. Starting from SH we will head out to Whatcote via Walton, and onto Pillerton Priors to Brailes. Then onto Edge Hill via Winderton, stopping at The Herb Centre for tea and cakes at Warmington.

We will then start back, going to Arlescote and onto Radway, and then heading to Little Kineton to Butlers Marston, Pillerton Hersey, Walton, Wellesbourne. The overall distance is approx. 33 miles, or thereabouts.

Not too many hilly bits , weather is set to be good.
