Just a reminder that this coming weekend (26th May) the CFC Sportive takes place starting at Stratford Racecourse.  This event replaces the Sunday Club ride in our events calendar and this is usually one of the best supported local sportives.  There are four distances so there is sure to be something to suit everyone so it would be great to see lots of club shirts there on Sunday.

We had a couple of entrants to the British Heart Foundation event at Wroxall on the 19th May - John & Sarah Ward - and it is worth remembering what these events are held for.  John writes:-

"Sarah & I rode with two friends in memory of a friend of ours who died of a heart attack last year.  The organisers had picked a pleasant route using back lanes, the weather was good, we averaged 14.2 pmh over the 16 miles and we were the first back! Sarah has a Just Giving site SARAH-WARD70"
