Rides update for Tier 3 regulations

Wellesbourne Wheelers Club Cycling Guidelines

Effective from 2nd December 2020 & reflecting that Wellesbourne, Warwickshire is currently within Tier 3, this Club guidance reflects that published on the GOV.UK website and the latest advice from British Cycling.

All group rides must ensure that there is a maximum of 6 riders.

Riders must sign up for a ride and groups determined before meeting up to ensure ride groups remain separate and there is no unnecessary mixing either at the meet point or on the route.

Each group must be a separate group not “closely” following another group

Rides should stay within Warwickshire as much as possible and routes into neighbouring counties must not stop or visit cafes in Tier 2 areas

Due to the restriction on  households meeting in most outdoor venues apart from the “rule of 6” we should not be undertaking café stops during a ride as we do not wish to be seen congregating socially as a group as that may be seen to contravene the Government guidance -at this time we all wish to move out of Tier 3 so must be seen to being doing our bit & complying.

Finally please remember to maintain social distancing at all times: 2m or 1m + mitigations
